Spend $77.26 million! Yageo to acquire Heraeus' high-end temperature sensor division

On October 11, Yageo, a Taiwanese passive component manufacturer, and Heraeus, Germany, jointly announced that the two parties have reached a final agreement. Yageo will acquire Heraeus' high-end temperature sensor division in cash, with an estimated total transaction value of approximately 79.4 million euros. (approximately US$77.26 million), and the transaction will be completed in the first half of 2023.

 

It is reported that Heraeus Temperature Sensor Division is headquartered in Hanau, Germany, and has two manufacturing bases in Germany and Malaysia, with a total of about 480 employees. Platinum thin film temperature sensing elements are available in a variety of formats, including wire sensors, SMD (Surface Mount Device) sensors, and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) sensors. As of 2021, 60% of Heraeus' temperature sensor division's revenue comes from high-end markets such as North America and Europe, and 100% of its revenue comes from industrial and automotive customers. Its revenue in 2021 will be 78.46 million euros (approximately $76.33 million).
