According to industry sources, STMicroelectronics has notified customers of upcoming price adjustments across multiple product lines, with the changes scheduled to take effect on April 26, 2026.

The company explained that the decision is driven by a combination of rising operational costs and strong global demand for semiconductors across various industries. In particular, several material providers have introduced allocation fees or increased pricing, contributing to higher manufacturing costs. At the same time, STMicroelectronics is facing increased expenses related to energy consumption, transportation, and securing sufficient capacity at wafer fabrication facilities and outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) partners. These factors have prompted the company to implement price increases for selected semiconductor products.

Recent weeks have also seen similar pricing actions across the semiconductor industry. onsemi announced that it will adjust prices for certain products starting April 1, 2026. NXP Semiconductors plans to raise prices for parts of its product portfolio from April 1 in response to evolving market conditions.

In addition, industry sources report that Texas Instruments will increase prices for selected semiconductor devices beginning April 1, while Infineon Technologies has also informed customers that it will implement pricing adjustments for certain products from the same date.

The wave of price adjustments reflects broader pressures across the semiconductor sector, where sustained demand growth and rising production costs are reshaping pricing strategies throughout the global electronics supply chain.
