DIY LED Number Light Box

If you are interested in making a DIY light box, this article is worth a look.
If you happen to have a 250 × 80 × 70 waterproof enclosure, a 1-meter crystal film sheet, a human-body sensing fade-in/fade-out module, a piece of pearl foam, a COB light, and an acrylic house number (you can also use black paper as a substitute), then you are ready to get started.

First, you need to cut a groove into the pearl foam.

Next, test the lighting effect after powering it on. The result looks quite good.

Then, compare the pearl foam with the outline of the waterproof enclosure and trim it to fit.

After that, modify the human-body sensing module.
You need to remove the sensing probe and extend it externally to the screw hole located at the lower-right corner of the waterproof enclosure. The fit is perfect, and it is almost impossible to tell that a sensor is installed there.
You should also cut a slot on both the inside and outside of the enclosure. This will make cable routing easier and help prevent the wires from being pinched.

Test the system again. Everything works properly, so you can continue with the assembly.

Use a soldering iron to melt a small hole in the lower-left corner of the waterproof enclosure.

Then install the pearl foam and test the lighting effect. The result is excellent.

Apply the crystal film to the surface. It perfectly covers the gaps around the edges, creating a clean and professional appearance. Now, take a look at the finished product.

The final result looks great and gives the DIY light box a neat, polished finish.
